I was raised a Jew: I measure things from sunset to sunset. Today is the last day of 2014, but tonight is the first night of 2015.
2014 was…mostly a year of waiting and planning. Â But it was also a year of waiting and planning toward a purpose: a new city, a new series, a new… something I’m not sure yet, still gently nibbling around the edges.
And that’s about all I have to say. I don’t do year-end roundups: the year is done, the days are gone, the chances grasped have become future goals, the opportunities lost are mist, the day stretches ahead and only shadows lay behind. Etc.
That’s not to say I’m not remembering 2014: I am and I do and I will, it’s the building block for what comes. But there’s no need for me to revisit it in essay form.
I may look back to where I’ve been, but I walk forward.
So what’s up ahead? Well, that’s a post for tomorrow. :-)
May you all see the year out/in in health and happiness.
(and for those of you timezone travelers, may 2015 have started well!)
May this be a year of great joy, boundless energy, and wonderful stories…a bunch of them written down!
