I am a Dual OS Household Again!

Ok, technically, counting Android, I’m a 3 OS household, but nevermind.  Wolfe the Dell is back in-house, allegedly and reportedly fixed of his pre-existing mental twitch (he would ‘forget’ how to find his hard drive periodically, which made him useless to me).

Of course, in the process the free sample of Word expired.  So now I have Word for Mac on the laptop (Archie), and a PC with no word processing software.  I really don’t want to buy another copy of Word…..  I suspect OpenOffice and I might try a trial re-negotiation.  But if anyone has a better suggestion…?

  1. My husband used to use OpenOffice. Now he uses LibreOffice and likes it better. I am not sure why he likes it better, but I thought I would offer up the suggestion.

  2. Sticking my nose up out of my edits here…
Scrivner. Probably one of the best writing programs I have ever used on both my Mac and my PC.
The ability to write split screen with my notecards and/or outline and my story is just too good to pass up. Built in character sheets, 3×5 cards, the ability to edit the thing any way you want to use it and it only costs like 40 bucks? Oh hell yeah….and no, I don’t work for them. Oh, it also will take your story and format it for ebooks or PDF or whatever. http://www.literatureandlatte.com
